This Privacy Policy describes how LAP Tech Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CountPal mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Provide

CountPal is designed to work offline. All counter data, groups, history entries, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not require account creation, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information directly.

1.2 Data Collected Automatically

The following data may be collected automatically through third-party services integrated into the App:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language settings.
  • Usage data: app opens, screen views, feature usage patterns, and session duration.
  • Crash and performance data: crash logs, stack traces, and performance metrics to help us identify and fix issues.
  • Advertising data: ad interactions, advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID), and limited demographic information inferred by ad networks.
  • Purchase data: subscription status and transaction identifiers (processed by RevenueCat; we do not have access to your payment details).

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App
  • Display relevant advertisements
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience
  • Monitor app stability and fix crashes
  • Manage subscription status and in-app purchases

4. Advertising

CountPal displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent preferences. You can manage your ad personalization settings through your device's privacy settings.

Users with an active subscription may have ads removed as part of their subscription benefits.

5. Data Storage and Security

All counter data is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. We do not transmit your counter data, history, or preferences to any server. If you uninstall the App, all local data is permanently deleted.

Data collected by third-party services (analytics, crash reports, ad interactions) is stored on their respective servers according to their own data retention policies.

6. Data Retention

  • Local data: retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.
  • Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
  • Crash data: retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
  • Ad data: retained according to Google's data retention policies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your data.
  • Opt-out: opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
  • Portability: request your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

For EU/EEA users (GDPR)

We process data based on legitimate interest (app improvement, crash monitoring) and consent (personalized ads). You may exercise your rights by contacting us at the email below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For Brazilian users (LGPD)

Your data is processed in accordance with the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados. You may exercise your rights as a data subject by contacting us at the email below.

For California users (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data is collected and to request its deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

CountPal is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Data collected by third-party services may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
